# Change Log Entries

`GET` _(Table: Change Log Entry)_

Read-only audit trail from the Business Central change log. Each row is one captured insertion, modification, or deletion of a monitored field; allowing an external system to reconcile *who changed what, when* without polling every record.

## Enable logging first

> **Caution:** This endpoint only **reads** what the change log has already captured. It does not turn logging on. Enable the change sign in Business Central (**Change Log Setup**) for the tables and fields you want to appear here; nothing is recorded for tables you have not opted in.

## Resolve the changed record

Two ways to get from an entry back to the record it describes:

- Use `changedRecordSystemId` (the record's `SystemId` GUID, fetch it directly on the matching endpoint)
- Combine `tableNumber` with the `primaryKeyField1Value`–`3Value` columns, which hold the record's primary-key field values.
