# G/L Accounts

`GET` _(Table: G/L Account)_

```
eOne/core/v1.0/glAccounts
```

Read-only chart of accounts. Its job is to let you validate the `accountNumber` values you post on [journal lines](https://eonesolutions.github.io/eone-bc-integration/core-journals.md). Resolve an account by its number (the natural key eOne integration maps use) or by `id` before posting. The field set mirrors Microsoft's APIV2 Accounts (page 30014), republished under the eOne/SC/v1.0 API group.

> **Caution:** This endpoint is **read-only**. No POST, PATCH, or DELETE. You cannot create or maintain accounts through it.

> **Caution:** There is **no `integrationId`** on this entity. The account `number` is the natural key; match on it rather than on an external key.

> **Note:** `netChange` is a calculated FlowField summed over the current filter context, not a stored balance. Treat it as a point-in-time read.

## G/L Accounts fields

_API column → BC field._

**Legend**

- _(req)_ required on create
- _(res)_ resolver
- _(cur)_ currency-translated
- _(ro)_ read-only
- _(ext)_ added to this endpoint by another extension (BC field name shown; its API column name is not known here)

| API | BC field | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `id` | SystemId | BC record GUID. _(ro)_ |
| `bcCompanyId` | bcCompanyId | The company this row belongs to - the same GUID that appears in the request URL. Present on every endpoint so a store pooling several companies can keep them apart without relying on which URL it called. _(ro)_ |
| `bcCompanyName` | bcCompanyName | The name of the company this row belongs to. _(ro)_ |
| `number` | No. | Account number; the natural key to match on. _(ro)_ |
| `displayName` | Name | Account name. _(ro)_ |
| `category` | Account Category | Account category (e.g. Assets, Income). _(ro)_ |
| `subCategory` | Account Subcategory Descript. | Account subcategory description. _(ro)_ |
| `accountType` | Account Type | Posting / heading / total / begin-total / end-total. _(ro)_ |
| `incomeBalance` | Income/Balance | Whether the account belongs to the income statement or the balance sheet. A balance-sheet account carries its balance forward across fiscal years; an income-statement account is closed to retained earnings at year end, so a running total over one is only meaningful within a year. _(ro)_ |
| `indentation` | Indentation | How deep this account sits in the chart of accounts. With accountType and totaling it is what lets a report rebuild the account hierarchy rather than presenting a flat list. _(ro)_ |
| `totaling` | Totaling | For a Total or End-Total account, the account range it sums, in Business Central filter syntax (e.g. 1000..1999). This is the rollup definition: without it the parent-child structure of the chart of accounts cannot be reconstructed outside Business Central. _(ro)_ |
| `accountNumber2` | No. 2 | An alternative account number, often the code used by a consolidating or legacy system. _(ro)_ |
| `directPosting` | Direct Posting | Whether direct posting to the account is allowed. _(ro)_ |
| `blocked` | Blocked | Whether the account is blocked from posting. _(ro)_ |
| `netChange` | Net Change | Calculated net change over the current filter. _(ro)_ |
| `lastModifiedDateTime` | SystemModifiedAt | _(ro)_ |
