Journal Lines Realtime-enabled
GETPOSTPATCHDELETETable: Gen. Journal Line
The individual posting lines of a journal batch, one per account movement, with account, amount, applies-to, and dimensions. Deep-insertable on create.
Nested under the journal batch
Deep-insertable under a Journals; the template and batch are stamped from the parent, and sequence (the line number) auto-assigns when omitted.
Account resolver, currency, dimensions
accountNumber sets the line's account for the batch's account type, a resolver that saves a lookup. currencyCode is an ISO code; blank means the local currency (LCY). The shortcutDimension{1..8}Code columns are writable per line. See Dimensions.
Lines drafted by a staged document
A batch can also hold lines drafted by a journal wrapper endpoint, because a staged document writes into whichever batch its setup names. Those lines appear in this collection on purpose, so a batch reconciles as a whole, but they belong to a document with its own approval and processing rules. PATCH and DELETE on such a line are refused: changing an amount or an account would corrupt the document just as effectively as deleting the line, and the document's history record is already written.
Reading is unaffected. To change or post one of those lines, work its document through the endpoint that created it.
