Return Receipts Realtime-enabled

Read-only posted sales return receipts, the customer-return counterpart of sales shipments, and a webhook source: subscribe to be pushed the “return received” event the moment a return order is received.

Receive vs. credit

A return receipt records that returned goods were received back into inventory; it is not the financial credit. The credit is a separate posted sales credit memo, posted when the return order is invoiced. Use this feed to reconcile physical returns; use the credit memo for the money.

Subscribing to returns

Register a subscription against the entity set; Business Central notifies your endpoint when a return receipt is inserted (posted). The notification carries the record id. GET it (optionally $expand=returnReceiptLines) to read the detail.
